Linking to another page within our website
- To make a link, first go to the page that you are linking to and copy the URL.
- When copying the URL only copy the text that is AFTER the .edu including the "/". For example, from this URL: http://pbgworks.org/node/16 I would only copy "/node/16".
- Now go you the page where you want to add the link.
- Edit the page.
- Using your mouse highlight the text you want to turn into the link, for example "See SolCAP 2009 Objective 2 link".
- When this is highlighted click on the Insert/Edit link button on the toolbar of the WYSIWYG (should look like a little chain.) A little pop window will open up.
- Paste your link in and make sure the Protocol is <other> for a page within PBGworks.
- Click OK.
- Save the page and check your link.
Linking to a page on the web
- To make a link, first go to the page that you are linking to and copy the entire URL.
- Now go you the page where you want to add the link.
- Edit the page.
- Using your mouse highlight the text you want to turn into the link, for example "my favorite website".
- When this is highlighted click on the Insert/Edit link button on the toolbar of the WYSIWYG (should look like a little chain.) A little pop window will open up.
- Paste your link in and click OK. The Protocol should say "http://".
- Save the page and check your link.
