Notifications are up and running for PBGworks

Notifications for the PBGworks website are now operational. What that means is that all content (wiki pages, blogs, forums, comments, etc.) upon creation will send an email to the members of the group to which this new content is posted to.

For example, when David creates a new wiki page in his lab group, the members of the lab group will receive an email alerting them to this fact.

Members of the group do have the option of turning off their email notifications from the My account page. There is a tab there called Notifications that has the settings that you can change on a per group basis.

There is also a small block of information that appears on the right side of the screen reminding you that you are subscribed to a particular group's content and this gives you the option of unsubscribing as well.

This is a new feature and I image some tweaking to the settings will have to take place. Please send me feedback via email or commenting on this blog post.
