About the Presenter

Dr. Michael Mazourek is the Calvin Noyes Keeney Endowed Chair and Assistant Professor of Plant Breeding at Cornell. His work focuses on improving disease resistance and culinary qualities of pepper, peas and cucurbits. His program supports seed systems by breeding for regional adaptation. He specializes in pest and pathogen challenges that are an issue in Northeastern US and also important globally.
